EMILY BLAIR

Emily Blair is a singer-songwriter from Spearfish, South Dakota. After years of gallivanting around the world, she has returned home, bringing with her a voice shaped by both travel and the landscapes of the desert southwest. Emily’s songs are inspired by everyday moments and larger reflections, carried by influences like Cat Clyde, Lady Lamb, Fiona Apple, and Jenna Talbott. For years, she has performed in harmony-focused groups alongside her musical partner Jenna Talbott and now plays with Chris Cady and Jake Jackson in The Black Asters. Beyond music, Emily is also a ceramic artist and recently opened Spearfish Clayworks, a downtown pottery studio where she teaches lessons to kids and adults alike. She is currently working on recording her first solo album, promising to highlight her distinctive blend of raw honesty and poetic lyricism.
